When I started planning our trip to Myanmar I knew I wanted to see the glorious ruins of Old Bagan and the splendid Shewdagon Pagoda known as the “crown of Burma”. At the time I did not know anything about Inle Lake but I saw the name repeated in enough travel guides that I tacked it onto our itinerary.
We hired a boat and captain to take us around the lake for the day where we were transported back in time to a world with ox and cart and blacksmith shops. The faces and places we saw were unlike any other making it by far our best day in Myanmar and a memory that be forever cherished.
See if for yourself in our video below and if you are lucky enough to make it to Myanmar, please do not miss Inle Lake.
